Wild Saturday Recap

By AB

Buffalo Bills vs Indianapolis Colts (Bills win 27-24)

The Buffalo Bills have their first playoff win in 25 years!! It took an elite season from Josh Allen, an incredibly potent offense and they finally closed it out. The Colts gave the Bills a scare at the end, but the Bills held on and they won the game. Bills are moving on and have a legitimately great chance of making it to the AFCCG regardless of who they play. The Colts on the other hand should be happy with how this season went. They made the playoffs, they lost to a superior team, and while there are concerns about Philip Rivers, this team has a great shot at competing again next year.

Seattle Seahawks vs Los Angeles Rams (Rams win 30-20)

The LA rams are moving on to the Divisional round! The Rams defense today was the story at how well it played and it completely dominated the Seahawks. The Rams quarterback Jared Goff had a broken thumb but was active only for a worst-case scenario. When replacement QB John Wolford got nailed in the neck and was eventually carted off to the hospital, Goff replaced him and played a bad game but enough to finally win it. Cam Akers was the reason that the offense worked and he dominated in his playoff debut. As for the Seahawks, it was a dismal end to an up and down season. The Seahawk’s offense struggled mightily, and Russell Wilson was very disappointing for his standards towards the end of the season. Seattle’s future is uncertain and they have an incredibly interesting offseason ahead.

Washington Football Team vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Buccaneers win 31-23)

Washington after a bad regular season, and only making the playoffs because of how bad the NFC East is. They had practice squad Quarterback Taylor Heinicke. They managed to put a scare in the Bucs, and they almost pulled off a stunning upset. Meanwhile, the Bucs are moving on to the next round of the playoffs. While the offense carved up a really good defense in the WFT, this defense should not have been this bad. They have issues to work on. That defense isnt good enough to beat the Packers, Saints, or the Rams.

What a fun way to start this Wild card weekend and Wild card Sunday promises to be just as fun!
